For those of you who don’t know, I’m beginning a Christian History Book Club at Antioch Church. It is for weird people like me who just can’t get enough of history and who don’t like Oprah’s picks.
The first book we’ll be reading is called C.S. Lewis in a Time of War, by Justin Phillips. Phillips is a BBC historian and gives a wonderful history of the BBC, WWII, and C.S. Lewis’s famous “Broadcast Talks,” which were later collected and published as the classic Mere Christianity.
