Matt shot this short little video when we were in one of the biggest slums in Port-au-Prince – Cite Solei.  It is burned into my mind as a reminder of how rich and blessed I am.

Here’s the final video for Haiti|5 - a long term engagement campaign that World Relief NEXT is developing in conjunction with World Relief and will be presenting to North American churches in May.

There are some amazing ways for churches to be involved directly with Haiti being developed that will be coming as a part of Haiti|5.

Stay tuned for updates to the World Relief NEXT web page to incorporate Haiti|5 as well as updates on the home page, blog and store!!

Dr. Daniel Wallace was in town this weekend for the Kilns College Apologetics Conference.  Dr. Wallace is a leading expert on New Testament Greek as well as Textual Criticism and New Testament Manuscripts.

We were lucky enough to have Dr. Wallace join us on Sunday morning for the Redux service.  If you weren’t there, you missed out.

Here are a couple of the clips from some extremely relevant questions.  The rest can be found on our Vimeo by clicking here.

My good friend, Rick Gerhardt, sat in on Redux this Sunday at Antioch.

Rick is a first rate scientist and thinker and shook things up in a good way.  He is also an excellent writer and keeps a blog that everyone should check out: www.myperegrinations.com

Rick said that he’d be responding on his blog this week to some of the text-in questions from the service.

Here’s a clip of one of the answers posted on the Redux site:

There’s something I really like about this interview with Tri Robinson and his approach to getting his church into nature.  I think there are not only environmental implications, but prayer, silence, solitude and even family implications.

Check it out and see what you think!

Check out the Redux Vimeo channel that a couple of guys have been working on.

It’s in the early stages, but I thought I’d pass on the link.

Here’s a cool little micro video with Wes Hurd.

Wes is on the Advisory Board for Kilns College and has also taught for us in the area of Art History.  He is the founder of the McKenzie Study Center and the Blue Tower Art Foundation in Eugene, and currently works as a full-time tutor for Gutenberg College.

We’ve talked over coffee about his idea in this video.  He calls it the Critical Zone between believers and non-believers.  In many ways, it is this “critical zone” that I really enjoy, what motivates the new Q&A Service we recently launched and why I feel it is worth my time to teach a college class on Atheism.

Anyway, it’s a pretty concise and well put together interview.  Enjoy!!

Here’s a little video of Mike & Danae Yankoski answering a question at Redux last Sunday.

I thought they did a particularly good job of answering the question and arguing for balance in our approach to the material and spiritual focuses of church.

(Make sure you watch the whole thing!!)

Here’s a video of the short presentation that Joe Johns gave last week at our meetings in Chicago.

Joe is a new friend who is the Missions Pastor at Fellowship Missionary in Fort Wayne, Indiana.  He and his church are engaged in some pretty amazing ministry in Congo and have a lot to teach.

Well worth the 20 minutes!
