I’ve been reflecting on my time at the Catalyst Conference in Atlanta for the last day now.
The conference is designed for next generation Christian leaders, but it feels a whole lot more like two straight days of church with great worship and great preaching… I loved it!!
There’s nothing like getting away every now and then and being filled up. Working full time at a church can often leave you upside down — putting out more than you’re taking in (a good recipe for burn-out). Not this week. This week I got to take it all in!!
Francis Chan gave a message so powerful that I’m planning on showing it down the road at Antioch on a Sunday morning.
Craig Groeschel gave another talk that was as authentic and transparent as any I’ve ever heard. His prayer to God was “disturb me” so that he wouldn’t become a Practical Atheist — someone who says they believe in God, but lives life as if He doesn’t exist. Powerful stuff!!
I’ve never gone to a conference that I didn’t like, and this one ranked up towards the top!
