I just spent the last couple hours with Fred Sekyewa from Uganda and Paul Rawlins from Sisters Community Church.
We began with an interview at the Bend Bulletin along with a photo shoot for Pastor Fred – who was wearing a bunch of winter gear on loan (this is the first snow he’s ever seen!!). Supposedly, the Bulletin is going to run a story this Saturday about Fred speaking at Antioch. It’ll be really cool if they do :)
After that we went for lunch. (Pastor Fred is really excited about heated sandwiches, french fries and designer soda pops!) It looks like everything is lined out for Antioch to partner with Africa Renewal Ministries. Tomorrow we are supposed to hear about the villages waiting for church partnerships…
I can’t wait to hear about those opportunities and then go to prayer over it. There is nothing like praying when there are incredible ministry opportunities on the horizon!!
All in all, I’m pretty excited about what God has in store for Antioch… there are good days ahead!!
I am so excited we are getting involved! We live in such a bubble here in the states. I have been shocked to hear the condition of things in Africa. It’s amazing to learn how far our resources can stretch to help those poverty-stricken people in Uganda and other parts of the world. I’m glad we are taking steps to get involved with ARM.
