I’m inundated with art right now!!
People have been bringing things to Kim all week to put on display for “Art Sunday” and I have been surrounding myself with verses and thoughts dealing with art in preparation for Sunday’s sermon…
Here’s my Art thought –
You can’t go one minute of life without seeing, being affected by or utilizing art in some way, shape or form.
The fact is that we are completely surrounded by art… we just don’t recognize it as such or consciously take note of it.
We read the brochure or billboard not realizing that it is art… We see the flowers and the blue sky not realizing that they are art… We listen to the radio or observe the paint on the wall or building and never really stop to think that it is all artistic expressions of creative beings.
As Blake wrote, we are always “seeing with, not through the eye.”
