The next best thing to reading a great book is recommending it to someone else. The joy is not just in getting to talk about something you have a passion for — rather, it’s the hope that someday, if they read it, there’ll be someone out there in this world that will actually know you. Someone who will have experienced a little piece of your universe… knows its sights and smells… know the highs and lows… and knows what you are actually feeling when you talk about that little piece of you.
Having said that, I would love for more people to read C.S. Lewis’ Till We Have Faces. It’s a part of my universe that I’d love for others to experience and share.
Ken reccomended Till We Have Faces to me with the distinction that it was one of the best books ever written. I was hesitant and skeptical to say the least, but decided to give it a shot. What do you know, no joke, it turned out to be the best book I had ever read!! I guess I’m writing this so that there is more than just Ken who wholeheartedly agrees with his statements. Read it and be blown away by the incredible insight of C.S. Lewis into the workings of the human mind and soul.
