I’m sitting in the Seattle airport waiting to get on a flight to Seoul, South Korea and then on to Phnom Penh, Cambodia.

I’m heading out with videographer Beth Fischer, photographer Kevin Kubota and Marianne Bach, an Antioch intern from last Summer, who is both a videographer and photographer. In Cambodia we’ll be meeting up with Don Golden, Senior Vice President of Church Engagement and Marketing for World Relief.

We’ll spend one week in Cambodia documenting the work World Relief does in Southeast Asia – health, micro-finance and anti-trafficking to name a few.

After Cambodia, I’ll be continuing on with Don Golden and Marianne Bach to India where we will travel to several World Relief projects throughout the country (curious what “Night Train” in India will look like).

I’m excited to get a chance to meet so many of my World Relief colleagues. I answered a question of Mary Joy’s last night about “how can we help the poor people in the world dad?” by saying, “It’s too much Mary Joy and takes generations so what Daddy does is work with a team. In World Relief there are people who live and give their lives in these countries. By doing what I do well to help them I also help the poor people. God made us to be team players.”
