Farewell Anatolia

I’m headed to Greece tomorrow, but thought I’d put up a few pictures  from around the ancient port city of Ephesus before heading out.

(Top: the ancient library of Ephesus holding over 120,000 scrolls; Middle: the theatre in Ephesus where a mob of merchants once shouted against Paul in favor of the goddess Artemis; Bottom: a 5th century fresco painting of St. Paul (the Greek ‘Paulos’ is visible) in a grotto (cave) above Ephesus. This painting of Paul is one of the oldest and clearest visual instances of the apostle.)
