feels like fall…

Feels like fall

Today was the first morning that it really felt like fall to me. I love fall in Bend. The crisp air makes me look forward to short days and long nights (all the better for reading)… football and fall colors… sweaters and boots… hot coffee and snow-capped mountains.

Fall also gets me excited about ministry. The unwritten law I learned when working with college students is that fall is a time of new beginnings, movement, energy, laughter and enthusiasm.

So this morning, thinking ahead to fall, I’m particularly charged — because this fall I get to see the launch of both a church (Antioch) and a college & career ministry (Mosaic). The normal ministry excitement that goes along with fall will be 10 times the fun this year!

There is a time for everything,
and a season for every activity under heaven:
a time to be born and a time to die,

a time to plant and a time to uproot,

Ecclesiastes 3:1-2
