Something we’ve wanted to do at Antioch since we planted the church a little less than three years ago was have an “Art Camp” for kids.
The idea was to have professional artists actually teach various arts (not crafts) and get kids excited about creativity, beauty and expression.
Yesterday, we finished off our first official “Art Camp.”
Kim Hunt set it up with the help of several local artists. There were 43 kids over three days involved in print making, pottery, jewelry making, photography and painting.
It’s amazing how effective the arts can be in building up and teaching kids about their talents and their faith!
My kids sure had an amazing time at this camp, it was special for them! Everyone involved did an awesome job!!
