Marcel

Looking forward to our friend Marcel Serubungo being in town with us next week for the Justice Conference.

Marcel is a pastor and also works for the World Relief office in Goma, Congo with food security and community care groups.

One of the most all time convicting lines I’ve heard came from Marcel – “If you’re not willing to commit suicide, like we’ve committed suicide, then don’t come to Congo.”  Marcel and others risk their lives on a regular basis to help the vulnerable women and children of Eastern Congo.

Marcel gives me a picture of what it means to “give your life away.”

I hope you get to meet him.

Here’s a picture of Marcel at the Congo Benefit Concert last December.
