There was a one hour special on Anderson Cooper 360 tonight about Christianity in America. It amazes me how diverse Christianity is… at one point I remember the question coming up on the screen, “What Kind of Christian are You?”
Anyway, let’s just say that I kept thinking about a sermon I gave two weeks ago called “Let’s Not Be Weird.” So many of the people on the show were just plain weird. The disheartening thing was that the normal, well thought out, and articulate Christians just seemed like part of the circus when lumped in with the rest of the video.
Here’s my New Year’s resolution — to be a little more like Christ and a little less like Christians in America.
