Blue Monday

Blue Monday

In case you need an excuse for “the blues,” today is officially Blue Monday – the most depressing day of the year according to a British Scientist.

No joke… today’s the day you are most apt to book vacation plans, quit your job or spend money :)

So if you feel down, just go to sleep and wake up tomorrow knowing that it’s the day after the most depressing day of the year.

Here’s the whole story from Wikipedia.

Blue Monday has been classified as the most depressing day of the year: January 22, 2007 This date was calculated by Dr. Cliff Arnall, a researcher/tutor at the University of Cardiff’s Center for Lifelong learning, and has been quoted in the press.

The date was calculated by using many factors, plugged into a formula. The factors include: weather conditions, debt level (the difference between debt accumulated and our ability to pay), time since Christmas, time since failing our new year’s resolutions, low motivational levels and feeling of a need to take action.
