I sometimes struggle with church strategy and prayer. If I believe what the bible says about prayer I will put more stock in a single righteous man or woman praying for our church than a year’s worth of prayer meetings and prayer campaigns. How many do you think prayed for rain before God answered Elijah’s single request?
The answer with prayer isn’t throwing as many punches as we can, but believing that one focused and well-intended punch will actually connect. It’s not just about routine, it’s also about faith. It’s not just about quantity, it’s also about maturity and righteousness. It’s not just about asking, it’s also about listening and discerning God’s will.
God hears us the first time… We forget our prayers sooner than He does.
Yea and I have trouble hearing Him. I suck at listening. That will be my challenge for the week as well as the challenge you gave me…:):) Antioch is amazing!
