Here is something that my brother Marcel from the Congo said in the middle of an interview the other day. Pretty straight talk from a guy who puts his life on the line every day as an expression of his Christian faith. (Imagine Marcel saying these words slowly and intently with a distinct French accent).
I want to tell all of you in America something surprising – you are dying. Now I want to ask you – what are you dying for? We are all going to die – do you know this? We could die being a thief. We could die fighting in a war. We can die many ways – but it is best to die serving God by serving God’s people. This is hard to hear in America because there are many fears – and – there are many questions. You will ask, “How can I be sure God is calling me?” Or maybe, “How can I give up my house?” Stop with those questions. Once you hear the voice of God and are pushed to go – than please stop asking questions – stand – and go.
This should be a micro vid, on a billboard, on the radio…
I absolutely love this. And I love the face that I can hear his voice in my head as I read it.
