Fear God

Fear God

Today at our staff meeting Fred Kent said something in a way that really stuck.

We were talking about the need to pray and try to discern what God has for us next. I commented that it would be great to have something to stretch our faith since God has proven himself time and again. I followed by saying that we need to find something to pray about before there’s something we need to pray about.

Fred then commented that we need to fear God… that the temptation when things are good is to ignore God. And when we ignore God, it isn’t long until He allows us to be put in a tough spot where we’re forced to run back to Him.

Well said. So may we act out of a reverential fear for a God who should not be forgotten or ignored.
