Tabernacle Church

This morning, Kim Hunt and I were brainstorming gifts that we could buy for the Regal Cinema staff as a way of thanking them and building goodwill.

It’s an opportunity that we have simply because we meet in rented facilities. I love being a “tabernacle church!” (In the Old Testament the tabernacle (in contrast to the temple) was a mobile tent of worship.)

Being a tabernacle church is one way that we’re able to stay in contact with the culture around us. We are on a crossroads rather than private lots. We share space rather than our own space.

Plus, I love buying gifts around Christmas and all this just gives me an excuse to add more people to my list!!
