I just received an e-mail that the micro loan I made through kiva.org last fall has now been repaid.
Pretty crazy that you can actually be a banker to the third world and help empower people to start businesses to change their lives.
90+% of micro loans are made to women and most all are repaid… it’s a pretty amazing thing. My initial loan was to a woman in Cambodia with a fishing business and now I have the option to reinvest the money.
