Matt Smith, Ann Mara and I were in Chicago this week co-hosting a conference on the Congo. There were over 30 church leaders and pastors in attendance. Heard some sober testimonies from Congolese natives Marcel and Cyprian and a powerful trip summary from Lynne Hybels on her recent time in the DRC. Also, made friends
So after the Congo Benefit Concert last night we sold $9197 worth of the Congo Benefit CD’s. Amazing!!!! All that money goes directly to World Relief programs on the ground in Congo providing people with seed and tools, working toward peace and reconciliation and helping the victims of gender violence. Looks like the team will be road tripping down to Hollywood for the screening of the Congo video at the Human Rights Symposium during the Hollywood Film Festival on October 24th
