Went kayaking with my dad this morning… good times (and a little chilly!) It’s beautiful at Hosmer Lake — we were thinking we’d bring the whole family back next summer to camp.

The girls picked me up to grab a quick coffee and drop me off at a meeting… I’m really enjoying my day so I had them screaming, “I love life!!” over and over again. It was fun :)
My folks took us out on the boat yesterday for a good chunk of time. Lake Billy Chinook is pretty cool — it has huge rim rock on the sides and goes on for miles. There is one stretch with an amazing view of Mt. Jefferson. It was also a big success for the girls
So in the last week I think we’ve brought meals to three different families who have had new babies. In addition to breaking the budget, we’ve begun to realize that it is a great discipleship opportunity. Just thought this one was fun… We drove up to the top of Pilot Butte this weekend and the kids had a blast throwing rocks.
Today is Mary Joy’s half birthday. Half birthday’s are an invention we came up with a couple of years ago as a family tradition and a way to celebrate the kids relationally without all the presents and cakes that go with actual birthdays. Here is a picture of Mary Joy playing at the jumpy booth
